Welcome to AmbientMeta. By using our Privacy Gateway service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Service Description

AmbientMeta provides a Privacy Gateway API service that helps sanitize personally identifiable information (PII) from text before sending it to third-party AI services, and rehydrates the responses with the original data.

2. Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and API keys
• Be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to enter into this agreement
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our services
• Share or resell API keys to third parties without authorization
• Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code through our service
• Exceed rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions

4. Data Processing

Our service processes text data to identify and temporarily replace PII. We do not:

• Store your original PII data beyond the session duration
• Share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service
• Use your data for training machine learning models

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

6. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is based on your selected plan and usage. You agree to pay all fees according to the pricing terms in effect when charges are incurred. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmbientMeta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease and any outstanding fees become due. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
